Collin-style dynamometer.

(Dynamometer nach Collin.)
Description: This was used extensively in schools until electronically based equipment replaced it. It has a spring frame which is compressed by the action of a person's hand. This causes a gear to move two dials, thus recording the greatest pressure exerted by the hand as well as the momentary pressure. (Expanded caption Copyright 1998, Edward J. Haupt)
