Description: This device permits accurate X- and Y-coordinates of
larger curves than No. 378 to be measured, curves which have a
height up to 180 mm. There are a number of features that make
this easier to use than No. 378. The apparatus is mounted a
hinged base plate. The paper with the curve is held firmly by the
ground plate and the frame of the apparatus. The glass measuring
device is brought directly to the surface of the paper so that
errors or parallax are avoided. In addition, there is a fine
cross-line for the y-value of the curve. (Expanded caption
