(Metall-Tonograph nach von Frey.)
Description: Unfortunately, the drawing for this device seems to
have been replaced by a similar drawing, which however, does not
include all the items labeled in the description of No. 350. The
typical pressure-sensitive rubber membrane is replaced by a thin
platinum-iridium membrane with a diameter of 15 mm. The device is
set up so that it can be mounted on a stand. There are micrometer
screws and positioning devices for the stand that permit the
signal to be more or less amplified before being written on a
kymograph. (Expanded caption Copyright 1998, Edward J. Haupt)
