Fick-style wave-drawing device.

(Wellenzeichner nach Fick.)
Description: This is a device to amplify the pressure tracing of a blood-pressure wave. The blood pressure changes, transmitted by air pressure, from the transducer through a thin rubber tube to a small capsule which expands and contracts, moving an elastic spring, through which actuates a reed(like) lever, which amplifies the movement of the writing bristle. Through a variety of means, the extent of amplification can be varied. (Expanded caption Copyright 1998, Edward J. Haupt)
