Apparatus for fixing (the record on a kymograph drum)

(Fixiereinrichtung.)
Description: A trough with a circular cross section, which, by immersing a kymograph drum in the shellac-filled tray, allows the carbon-covered paper from the drum with the inscribed record, to be "fixed." The sense of fixing is much the same as that used in photographic developing, although the method is different. A simple stand is provided to hang a bottle filled with shellac that coats the drum and makes the path scraped by the bristle in the carbon permanent. (Expanded caption Copyright 1998, Edward J.
