(Vereinfachtes Kymographion.)
Description: A simpler, cheaper device, for student laboratory
work and use in a physicians's practice. There is no speed
regulator. The drum is gear driven and can be started or stopped
with a small lever on the spring motor casing. The apparatus is
said to be suitable as a sphygmanometer (even though such devices
had existed since the 1870s), for a cardiogram or
plethysmography. (Expanded caption Copyright 1998, Edward J.
